WEEK 14 PREVIEW

Hi all, and welcome to Week 14. It's sick-as-a-dog week here at 1-On-1 Pool HQ, so we're going to keep this short and sweet, at least for now. We'll see about expanding on the writeups later in the week.

First up, a look at how things would stand "If The Playoffs Were Held Today..." :

A couple of changes from last week, with Mother Cluckers and Pigskin Palookas moving up into Wild Card spots at the expense of Deesato and Evil Squad Of Evil. We're getting close now, so string those wins together!

Ok, divisional match-ups -- here's who we have in action this week:

AFC North:
Waterboys vs. Brenda's Bulldogs

NFC South:
Mike W vs. Monster Rain

NFC North:
Bassturds vs. Ignats

NFC West:
Secretly Victorious vs. Chocolate Mudbuttons
Evil Squad Of Evil vs. Fighting Sporks

NFC East:
Bad Mice vs. Hyena

Like I said, short and sweet. Hopefully we'll get more in place by the weekend. In the meantime, make sure you have your Thursday Night Football pick submitted by noon on Thursday. Stay healthy, everyone!

Thursday Night Football pick chart is up, and surprise surprise, someone picked the Browns. Check back to see if picking the huge underdog was a brilliant move or not, and make sure to get your weekend pick submitted if you haven't already done so.

All the picks are in, and we have a matching pair of One-Hit Wonder Matches of the Week -- both the Waterboys/Brenda's Bulldogs and Bassturds/Ignats matches will come down to the winner of the Houston/Cincinnati game. Brenda's Bulldogs and Ignats will get a win along with the Texans, while Waterboys and Bassturds will be looking to the Bengals to give them the victory.

And that's it for this week's preview -- take a look at the filled out pick chart and check back on Sunday to see how matches start closing out.

WEEK 14 RESULTS

Thursday Night Football: Chocolate Mudbuttons goes up one pick, but there's still a lot left on the chart. Check back to see what comes next.

1:00 Games: Several matches in the books, as Brenda's Bulldogs, Mike W, Ignats, Yellow Jackets, Why Not Zoidberg?, Hyena and Evil Squad Of Evil each put together a winning effort.

4:00 Games: Four more in the afternoon, with Pigskin Palookas, Vlad M, Big Blue and Chocolate Mudbuttons each getting a win.

Take a look at the updated pick chart and check back later to see how the late game changes things.

8:30 Game: This one game wins to two players, Jr. Barnes and Mike C; and sent the Horns/StuB to a tie. Two left to go, so check back tomorrow to see how things wrap up.

Monday Night Football: The week wraps up with Lyle Alzado and Deesato each chalking up a victory.

Congrats go out to Ignats -- his 14-pick performance was also closest to the MNF total score, giving him this week's Player of the Week award. Nicely done!

We've had a handful of players mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but we still haven't had anyone lock up a playoff spot just yet. With just three matches left on the season, we have a lot of tight races coming down to this home stretch. So take a look at his the Standings are shaping up to get a feel for your chances. You can also check the finalized pick chart to see how we got there. And as always, make sure you have your picks submitted by noon Eastern for the Thursday game and 8:00 Friday for the rest. Have a great week, everyone!
