In the AFC, Secretly Victorious slipped into the grey, pushed down by Yellow Jackets' jump up to the #4 seed. The NFC saw a lot of shuffling of positions, but the top six all keep playoff spots for another week.
All right, we have a bunch of divisional matches to take a look at this week, so let's see what's in store:
We have a huge one in the AFC North, where Brenda's Bulldogs is looking to jump up to not only the division lead, but into the AFC's #1 playoff seed spot as well. Looking to keep both those positions for himself is JPP's Missing Fingers, who hasn't lost after a bye week since his rookie season in 2011.
The AFC West is the scene for another important matchup -- the lead is on the line with Why Not Zoidberg? looking to go up two matches in the division. That would be a great lead at the midpoint but Secretly Victorious isn't going to let him have it easily. If she can get her first head-to-head win since 2014 here, then she'll just back up into the postseason picture, taking over first place in the division.
Ethan C is looking to keep his nice divisional lead intact (or possibly even extend it) by getting his first AFC East win of the year. Vlad M is heading into "must-win" territory here, as a loss here would make a playoff spot...well, not impossible, but "highly unlikely" would be a fair assessment.
Our match of the week comes out of the NFC East where we have two players ranked in the top three of the Power Rankings. Both Hyena and Turf Toe are 6-1, and both have perfect divisional and conference records. Hyena is currently on top of the pack by virtue of his lead in the Player of the Year race, but this division is as wide open as can be. If Turf Toe can pick up this one, then the division lead will be his for as long as he can hang on to it. In Turf Toe's favor here is the fact that he's 8-6 against Hyena historically, but more importantly he's 5-1 over the last three seasons.
Boardwalkers is having an amazing season and currently rules the NFC South, but if he slips up, it'll be Beep Bops making the biggest play for the division lead. Beep Bops needs to put up a win here over Ragesters in order to keep pace, or possibly even take over the top spot. As the chart at the top of the page shows, Ragesters is right in the thick of it as well, and while it would take a couple of wins in order for him to become division leader, a victory here would put him right in the thick of the Wild Card chase.
Finally, the bottom half of the NFC North is going head-to-head with Ignats and Bassturds each looking to make a move up the chart. A combined 1-9 in conference matches this season, it would be very unlikely that either of these players would get any tiebreakers, so a long winning streak is the only hope either one of these two has at the moment. It'll be interesting to see what happens when these two meet again in Week 12 -- the winner of their first season meeting has wound up with the sweep every years since 2010.
All right, your pick for Thursday Night Football is due in by noon on Thursday, so please make sure you have your pick submitted on time!
The fewest by far -- as few as is possible -- is our Monday Night Madness Match of the Week! The huge showdown between Beep Bops and Ragesters will be coming down to Monday Night Football score, because these two picked all 13 games the same way. If the total score is 39 or under, than Ragesters will get a big win; while if the score runs up to 40 or better, then Beep Bops comes out out on top.
Ok, time to put the preview to bed and get ready for some results. The full pick chart is set and ready for your perusal, so take a look at what you've got in store this week. Good luck everyone!

One other result for the books -- for the second time this season, Ethan C finds himself fighting to a draw, this time against Vlad M.
Two players went 11-of-13 this week, but it was Mike C and his higher total score pick that gave him his second Player of the Week award of the season -- great job!
That'll wrap things up for another week. We're over the halfway hump of the regular season, and while there are several players putting up fantastic numbers, no one is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, and no one has locked up a postseason berth. So if you're doing good, keep it up! If you're lagging behind, it's nothing that an eight-match winning streak to close the season couldn't fix!
So with that, check out the finalized pick chart, see how you stack up in the Standings, and get a jump on your Week 10 pick submissions. Have a great week everyone!
