First up, we have the AFC-leading Black And Blues Brothers looking to keep his rookie unbeaten streak going against AFC South opponent and 1-On-1 Super Bowl IX champion StuB. There's a chance that Black And Blues Brothers could have a three-match lead at the end of this one, which would be an amazing gap this early in the season.
The NFC East is wide open with a .500 record leading the pack, and there's a chance the division-leading Hyena could maintain his lead, or he could find himself in last place when the smoke clears this week. And while Bad Mice is currently in 4th place here, he could find himself atop the heap as well! This one is basically completely up for grabs at this point.
Both Delta Dawgs and Ignats were looking strong in the NFC North until they each faltered last week. Delta Dawgs is looking to come out ahead in his first divisional match, while Ignats is looking to avoid his third divisional loss in four weeks.
In the NFC West, both Heisendad and Green Bowl Tolkers are currently 1-3 with no divisional wins -- a pretty inauspicious start to the season. It's certainly too early to call any loss an elimination one, but whoever drops this week is going to be in a seriously deep hole and will have to start stringing together a lot of wins to keep up.
The top half of the NFC West is going head-to-head as well in a match that will determine who is in the driver's seat after this week. Evil Squad of Evil is currently in first, and a win here would give him a nice two-win cushion in the division. But Fighting Sporks is looking to put the kibosh on that idea, and pick himself up a win that would give these two even records and put Fighting Sporks in the lead via tiebreakers.
All right, make sure you get your Thursday pick submitted in time -- enjoy all!
Check the Thursday pick chart to see if you're one of the six players with nothing on the line in this one.
Three more matches can end tonight, and the rest will be decided by MNF. Take a look at the updated pick chart and check back in the morning to see how Sunday wraps up.
13-of-16 is generally considered a really good week, and this time is no exception -- we had a whopping five players put up exactly that kind of performance. But none of them are coming away with the Player of the Week award. That honor is going to rookie Delta Dawgs, who put up an amazing 14-of-16 performance this week!
So coming off of this week we Buttfumbler picking up a win which leaves no more unbeaten players; and Black And Blues Brothers with his first career loss meaning down to just two undefeateds. We're only a couple of weeks away from the first "If The Playoffs Began Today..." chart, so the state of the league for this year is really beginning to coalesce.
Next week will begin the bye week period, so from Week 6 through 14, there were be a handful of players not competing each week. You'll still be putting your picks in though, as your season pick total is an important tiebreaker for playoff positioning.
Ok, that'll about do it for another week around here. Check the finalized pick chart, see how you're looking in the Standings, and get a jump on your Week 6 pick submissions. Have a great week everyone!
